I agree with your description of a sincere friendship. However, sometime it's so difficult to be a true friend. When I said the truth about my truly opinion or feeling to my beloved friend that would bring sadness in her feeling, sometime she couldn't accept it. She felt that I was jealous at that time.

Yes I agree with you. Only thing I wanted to suggest that it is two way process and more then friendship it is relationship between two persons if it takes them to higher level or takes them down together.

I fully agree. A friendship is like a beautiful plant which has to be nurtured with understanding warmth and sharing .Like a plant it also requires pruning or trimming that is pruning of egos and also like a plant requires weeding that is weeding of jealousy and oneupmanship.
Friendship like everything else should be given in a true sense and not in order to gain anything but friendship in return
Sincerity is a precious commodity everywhere nowadays and should be valued in any friednship, yes.
